Here we are again, another Sunday. It’s not quite as nice as the previous few. The sunshine did a runner yesterday, and we’re left with that miserable fine rain. It’s not really rain, not really mist, it’s just mizzle.
It’s been another busy week with appointments. Jono had his pain management appointment, which I’m delighted about. It makes such a difference to him. The staff are brilliant, and it’s good to have that appointment behind him.
I’m doing okay, but I’m a bit out of kilter if I’m honest. The invisible door is back again. I’ve written about it before. It stops me doing things. I’m used to it now, and I know it will pass. I had blood tests a couple of weeks ago, and I’m wondering if my B12 is a bit low. I get the results next week, so we’ll see.
I also think it might be a fallout from something that happened a few weeks ago. I wrote about it here if you missed it. I shouldn’t let it get to me, but sometimes my head gets the better of me and I end up ruminating.
There’s a new afternoon tea in Sligo that I’d really love to try, but I can’t bring myself to ask anyone to go. It’s that old fear of rejection creeping back in. I know it’s part of my mental health, and I don’t want to risk being knocked back, so I just don’t ask. I might go on my own if they cater for single bookings, or I might leave it for another while.
It’s also nearly time to say goodbye to my wonderful blog sponsors, and I should really be doing something about that. But hello again, invisible door. I’m thinking back to last year when I put out a call for sponsors. I went to a couple of meetings full of hope and came away feeling dejected, with plenty of suggestions but no sponsorship. I can’t face that again at the moment, so we’ll see what happens.
It’s not all doom and gloom though. I’ve been invited to try a new breakfast offering at a local café, which I’m really looking forward to. I’m also heading into the Taste of Sligo Food Festival today, so that should be nice.
Onwards and upwards, and all that malarkey.
Have a good week, and thanks, as always, for reading.
