I know I’ve done several blogs about Eagles Flying but it really is one of my favourite places in Sligo. This time I went with friends who had never been before, they were blown away by the place.
I was testing a different camera. This one is a Fuji HS10. It has a massive 30x zoom. I’d be interested to hear what fellow photographers think of the shots I got.
These were my first shots with it. I hadn’t had time to play with it first so it was a baptism of fire. I’m really impressed with it though.
These are all more or less straight out of the camera, although some of them have been cropped. Other than that nothing done to them. I think the colours are great.
As far as Eagles Flying is concerned well it’s a perfect day out for all the family. So many animals to see. As well as the flying display there is a pet zoo….where you can meet pigs, feed a lamb and even get pick-pocketed by a raccoon. Don’t just take my word for it though….go and have a visit. You’ll be delighted you did.
I just have to add a photo I took with my iPhone 4s. I’m really impressed with the results from that too. Especially catching the bird in flight.
I am very impressed; new camera passed the test with flying colors! Pardon the pun, couldn’t resist. š
Thanks Sheila š
They are amazing photos. I love the colour of the flower and my son would love to visit that place!

Brilliant photos Val, the camera is a great choice, but it’s the photographer that takes the pictures and you took some fab ones š
