Havin’ a Coffee for Havin’ a Laugh

Well you all know my battle with depression and anxiety. I’ve had some extremely low days. Something that has helped me enormously is  the Havin’ a Laugh Charity by the Rennafix Group.

On the darkest days it was and still is very hard to think ahead. Knowing that there is support out there makes all the difference. There is a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

Depression is such an isolating illness. It’s also bloody frightening. There are times when you don’t know where you are going and what you are doing. I wanted to help others who may be suffering out there so I’m having a coffee morning to fundraise for Havin’ a Laugh and Rennafix. It’s at The Blind Tiger in Sligo on Monday, September 25th from 10am – 12 noon. You are all very welcome.

I’m hoping this might be the start of something and that it might end up as a regular coffee morning. I miss the days where I had friends I could go for a coffee and a chat with. I’m sure I’m not alone in this. So if you feel isolated, lonely or are just new to the area or want to make new friends do come along.  If you can’t make the coffee morning but would like to donate you can do so here.

If you’d like to donate cakes for the coffee morning I’d be very grateful.

You can read more about the charity below or visit their website.

  1. Hi . During my work with Anne o Connell Cliffoney Co Sligo up & until her retirement. Upon her departure she provided me with a letter stating I had an amount remaining on my already used up support activity ( Clay / pottery workshop attended). The reason for my email is to check if the remaining amount is still available to me (how much ?) for to use on an alternative support.
I am currently retired & alsoseeing another therapist. I
I would be gratefull if you could let me help me with this matter.

    Many thanks
    Margaret
