Animal Magic

Farmyard friendsI had a wonderful time the other evening on a visit to Farmer John and Farmer Lucy who run Farmyard in your Schoolyard. They provide a wonderful service where they bring the farm to you! The animals are all very tame and used to being handled and petted. If you are looking for a great idea for a party or event why not give John and Lucy a call.

MoneypennyI love animals so I was delighted to have the chance to photograph these lovely animals. Above is Moneypenny the Dexter cow, she’s a beauty.

SniffShe was very intrigued by the camera and fogged up my lens!

Pygmy goatBramble the pygmy goat was getting quite friendly with me as well and at one point I had Lambie breathing in my ear, she’d just had her haircut so was sporting a bit of a skin head.

LambieDSCF9929DSCF9919-001The chicks were so cute and the rooster was very happy to pose for photos.

HorsesNext it was over to say hello to the horses. They weren’t too impressed with the camera.

RabbitThe rabbits were very friendly too. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many rabbits in one place!

DoveIf you are looking for something to make your special day even more special how about having a ceremonial dove release? It would be perfect for your wedding day. It’s all part of the great services offered by Farmyard in your Schoolyard. You can find out more about it here.

GooseThanks so much to John and Lucy and all at the farm for having me over and best of luck to them as they have been nominated for the Best New Business Award in the Sligo Business Awards, 2013.

  1. Ahhhh….they’re all so beautiful and lovely, Val. I think it’s a great idea – well done to Farmer John and Farmer Lucy. I was especially touched by their ceremonial dove release – such a beautiful idea. Great photos (as usual!). Thanks for sharing, Val.
