Today I took Rocket-Dog to Union Wood in Collooney. We had a lovely walk and it mostly stayed dry.
I was hoping we might catch a glimpse of a deer as the couple of times I’ve seen them on our lane I haven’t had the camera with me. No luck though so we’ll have to go back another day.
It’s only the second time I’ve been there which is shocking as I only live down the road but I only found out how to get to it last year after it was featured on Sligo Walks.
It’s hard to take photo’s with the dog pulling on the lead though….so the pics aren’t the best.
As I was driving into town later in the day I had to stop to take a photo of Benbulben. No matter how often I drive into Sligo the sight of it always amazes me, today was no exception with the snow on it. We are blessed to live in such a beautiful place.
Val that picture of Ben Bulben is one of the most captivating pictures I have seen. How majestic and mysterious the mountain looks. Yes we do live in a truly beautiful part of the world. Thank you for reminding us.
It’s such a stunning mountain.
Your photo of Ben Bulben is so stunning Val! You are lucky to live in such a gorgeous part of Ireland. Hope you are well and enjoying life as ever:~))
Thank you 🙂 Yes we are very lucky.
What a lovely set. I really do feel like I’ve been out and about in the Irish countryside, what a beautiful place you live in.
Thank you 🙂
We are indeed truly blessed and fortunate, I agree. Sligo is such a beautiful county, and a beautiful part of Ireland. I feel the exact same way whenever we’re driving to Sligo and further north – to have the majestic Ben Bulben greeting us still stuns me by its awesomeness and its magnificence. Beautiful photos, Val. Thanks for sharing them with us.
We are very lucky June. After my couple of days in Dublin it makes me appreciate it even more.
I do love Dublin – very much. I love being there every time we take a trip there. The shops, the cafes, the pubs, the whole energy of the city centre is magic. But there’s a special magic about being here in Sligo, as well. As much as I love Dublin, I always love coming back home to Sligo.
Ours was just a hospital trip so not much time for taking photos. I’m hoping to go back soon I want to go to Kilmainham.
