Drumcliffe

After my trips to Raghly and Lissadell I decided to visit Drumcliffe on my way back to Sligo town. W. B. Yeats is buried in the graveyard there.

The church is beautiful and well worth a look around. I love the swans on the door of the church and also the attention to detail inside it.

It’s set against Benbulben mountain.

It’s a very popular place for tourists.

Across the road is the Round Tower. It wasn’t the best day when I was there, I would have preferred a blue sky đŸ˜‰

Afterwards I went into the Drumcliffe Tea House and had the biggest bit of banoffee pie I’d ever seen! It was fab.

They also do other lovely goodies and there is a gift shop as well so you’ll be spoilt for choice.

I don’t know why the writing has gone odd in this blog! I’ve tried to sort it out but it still looks the same…so sorry about that.
