So yesterday was February 1st. Some people say it’s now Spring but I think it’s Winter….and judging by the cold weather I’m right 😉 I went up to Markree yesterday morning and had another go at horse riding. I felt calmer this time and luckily I’m not in pain today.
The sheep roam free around Markree Castle. These were very put out when I wanted to drive on the road they were walking on.
Yesterday evening Jono went to his monthly meal out so Lucy and I went to the cinema. There wasn’t much on that we wanted to see so we went to see War Horse. I didn’t really want to see it because I thought it would be sad…it was 😦 We were late for the film because of dropping Jono off. The woman in the cinema told us she couldn’t sell us tickets because the ‘film had gone off her screen’. She looked quite puzzled when I asked her if she could sell us tickets to another film and then we could go into War Horse anyway. So in the end that’s what we did. Anyway back to the film. The horse was a fantastic actor and should win an oscar. The soldiers had fantastic teeth considering it was in the war! Some of the camera work made me feel a bit ill. All in all it was a good film but I did have a sniffle.
The sunrise over Sligo this morning was lovely. It was very frosty though and took about 10 minutes to clear my car. I had to wonder about the muppets that take to the road with only a small piece of their windscreen cleared so only their eyes could see through.
When I was driving Jono into his course there was a woman jogging along the N4 in the fast lane…towards oncoming traffic! What was she thinking!! There was a pavement alongside the road so why didn’t she run along there?
At least with the frosty day we managed to see a bit of sunshine and a blue sky. It makes a nice change from the usual rain. As long as we don’t get snow I don’t mind.
