For my birthday Andy got my a voucher for a spa treatment. I finally got around to using it last week. It was for the thermal suite which is pictured above. I was hoping to have a hydrotherapy bath as well but I was told they were too busy (as I looked around at the tumble weed blowing around the place…..I was the only one there!) Anyway I’ve gone off topic.

The thermal suite consisted of foot spas, an ice fountain, sauna, steam room and rainforest shower. They all had lovely lights in the ceiling that changed colour. I enjoyed it all, even the steam room although it smelt of mushrooms!

After the thermal suite I went into the relaxation room where there was a platter of fresh fruit and herbal teas. It was very peaceful. Again there were all twinkling lights in the ceiling, it’s a lovely place.

Afterwards I was going to have lunch but the residents only signs in the hotel bar put me off. So I headed to Rosses Point and went for a walk.

It was a very dark day so I didn’t get much of a walk between showers. In the end I went and had lunch in the Waterfront. I only had soup but it was lovely.

It was such a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

  1. Glad you enjoyed your day – what a nice treat. I was treated to a similar day for my 40th – Stef arranged it all – it was a mother and daughter treat!!!!
