I went for something very special today. I’ve felt like I needed some kind of healing or relaxation session for a while now, and Anna from Oxyzone Sligo does Pranic Healing. I don’t know too much about it, so you can read about it here: https://oxyzonesligo.ie/pranic-healing/

First of all I was welcomed by Anna and Barbara in Ozyzone Sligo, which is based in Finisklin, and is always a joy to visit. It’s such a calming place.
I took my shoes off and made my way into the therapy room. It’s a treatment where you are fully clothed, which is great because I feel very vulnerable. You fill out a questionnaire about any health issues that you have or anything that you have going on in your life at the moment. I’m not one of these that would go for a massage or anything that involves touch. So Pranic Healing is great for me because I’m very closed and I don’t really like people in my personal space.

Anna has such a lovely, gentle way about her and the Oxygen therapy has worked so much magic on her. I’ve actually done a podcast with her before, you can listen here, or below. Anna had chronic pain and she found the oxygen therapy worked so well for her that she started Oxyzone Sligo, so that she could help others. This is such a massive testament to how well this works.
Pranic Healing works on the body’s energy system, and for a long time, I’d kind of felt like my energy was blocked. My left side was kind of a bit sluggish. My knee would play up and my left shoulder would be sore. I had tension in my shoulder blades, so I felt like I needed some kind of treatment. A few people had said go for a massage, but as I said, I’m not really into massages because I feel a bit weird. The last massage I had was a Thai massage, and I felt like the woman was trying to strangle me! She probably wasn’t, but I’ve watched too many Final Destination films and it was kind of stuck in my head, so I couldn’t really relax.
Anna starts the treatment with a tuning fork, she also uses a pendulum to see where she needs to clear the energy. She explained that I could close my eyes, or keep them open, it was all about what worked for me. Make sure to drink plenty of water before you go and also after you’ve had your session. I suppose it’s to clear any toxins. She also said it’s quite normal if you feel a bit emotional afterwards, because some stuff came up today that I had forgotten about, which was really weird.
Usually, when I write about stuff on the blog, it gets it out of my system and I can move on, but this incident obviously didn’t and it seemed to be causing an energy blockage.
When Anna does the healing, she doesn’t touch you, her hands hover above you and then at certain points you’ll hear her breathing deeper.
You don’t feel like you have to be completely still, and it’s quite impossible for me to shut up for an hour anyway. So of course I was yapped in a bit. Not too much – hopefully, although Anna might disagree and say I never stopped talking.
At one point my head was really tingling and had my eyes shut for this bit, and I didn’t know that Anna’s hands were over my head. And then when I opened my eyes, I saw that her hands were working over my head. She said there was a blockage that caused the tingling. The same thing happened with my legs, they were really tingling, it was like having pins and needles.
I found it really interesting and a really lovely way to spend some time. Anna said that my creativity was very blocked, which I kind of get, I’m not painting as much as I normally did, and I’m not taking photos as much as I did as well, and I really miss it if I’m not doing it. So I need to get back to that. As she also said my head was so open, and full of ideas, maybe now is the time to actually put some of them to use rather than just thinking about them and not doing anything with them.
Anna said when I walked in, my aura was grey, and I’m not really surprised. I felt kind of a bit sluggish and stagnant, and at the end she said it was like I had bright colours springing out of me. If you’re thinking about some kind of healing, I really recommend it.
Anna is one of the most genuine people I know. She’s just so warm and I can really relate to her. I’ve liked her from the moment I met her. She’s very easygoing and so gentle and lovely.
I’m really glad I went, I felt like I needed it, it’s been a long November and I feel very tired and a little bit burned now. So I loved every minute of it, so thank you, Anna.
