Happy Sunday and Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate. It’s felt like a long week, but in another way, it feels short, there has been so much going on too, and a lot to think about.
The beautiful sunny weather has left, and we are back to grey skies and there was heavy rain yesterday and Friday, and it felt very cold as well, I think we were spoilt with the sunshine and warm days.

I’ve had a few coffee dates during the week, one with an old friend, and two with new people. All were lovely, I do love the chats, and the coffee. I also managed to stay away from cake, I’m trying to lose a bit of weight before Lucy’s wedding. Mind you, I did have a scone and cream at one of the meetings, so that wasn’t the best thing to have, but it was lovely! And yesterday I had a Maltesers Ice Cream Sundae for breakfast – but it is Easter, well that’s my excuse anyway.

Speaking of the wedding, I got to see the venue during the week, it’s perfect, and ticks all the boxes. I’ve started looking at Mother of the Bride outfits, oh dear! I’m not a fashionista by any sense of the word, but most outfits that I’ve seen so far are woeful. There’s a lot of polyester going on, or they are made with very heavy material and resemble curtains, and they are so expensive! I have an idea of what I want, and I’ve seen some things online (thanks Sian and Lucy), but I’d like to try them on to get an idea of what they look like on. Lucy will come shopping with me next month and we’ll see what happens.

I got my hair done yesterday, the purple has gone, and Janelle who does my hair did a wavy blow-dry, to see how it lasts. I won’t have my hair up or a hat or fascinator on the big day, I want to look like me, but a much more polished version of me.
Anyway, I’ll stop talking about weddings now. I’m still not able to paint or podcast, I feel like I have an energy blockage or something stopping me. My friend sent me something that might help, but I haven’t had the chance to try it yet. I miss having a creative outlet, so hopefully I’ll get back to it soon. On the other hand, I’ve been out with the camera after months of not looking at it, and that’s been lovely. I’ll add some photos below of the gnome walk in Ballisodare.

Today will be a quiet day, just a roast dinner around mid afternoon and I’ll make one of my ‘famous’ cheesecakes, well they are famous in this house, and it only takes ten minutes to make. Wishing you all a lovely Sunday and thank you for reading.
