Sligo Snow Days

We’ve had two days of snow in the last week. We don’t often get snow, so it’s nice to see it when we do get it, and I like it if I don’t have to go out in it.

We have been fairly battered with storms recently, we had Storm Eunice (which wasn’t much to write home about), quickly followed by Storm Franklin, followed by an unnamed storm. The winds from Franklin were wild, they caused a lot of damage around the country, although personally we were OK.

I thought you might like to see some photos of the snow, I’m also adding a video of one of my favourite places to walk. It’s in Coolaney, and part of one of the looped walks I go on.

I know it isn’t much snow at all compared to other countries, but we don’t usually get as much, living near the coast.

The snow on Saturday only lasted for today, I’m not sure how long the snow today will last, but we’ll see.
