Monday Musings

It’s been an eventful couple of days. A couple of things have happened that have made me think. Firstly I went for a Reiki session, it was my first one and I wasn’t sure what to expect. This was kindly organised for me by one of my blog readers and I’m very grateful to her.

Reiki isn’t a bit scary and I was actually quite relaxed (for me!) Mary, who is the Reiki Master is just lovely and a very wise woman. She said so many sensible things to me and she’s also so positive, a real breath of fresh air. I listened and I will take note. I also spent the evening throwing Holy Water around the house, even Andy got a drenching!

The second thing was that I went on a still life and food photography course with the amazing photographer Peter Wilcock. This was one of the things I wanted to do through ‘Havin’ a Laugh’ and they very kindly organised it for me. What a fantastic day. I learnt  so much and just had such a great time experimenting with different props.

The course has reignited my passion for photography and I’d love to have the bits and bobs for my own mini studio. Even if I don’t I think I will certainly try to experiment more with photography. The course has given me a bit more confidence and I’ve realised that if I don’t start believing in myself no one else will.

Hopefully this is the beginning of a more positive me. Not before time!

    1. The stills are lovely, the whiskey pour is my favorite, you caught it right on. I am happy you enjoyed the Reiki, I have been having a treatment every other week for a few years now and love this wonderful relaxing time, I have been known to fall asleep on the table. It is such a wonderful “me” time and some of my health issues have been greatly helped.
