There’s great interest in my healthy lifestyles posts so I thought you might be interested in a few blogs I’ve read recently.
Every magazine you look at features photos of tanned and toned lovelies in them. Most of us will never look like that – probably because a lot of them are photo shopped! Anyway here are some different points of view on life, diets, weight loss etc:
Paddy Cunningham tells us to be Body Proud and he’s right. I guess no matter what size you are there will always be parts of yourself you don’t or won’t like. It doesn’t change who you are though.
“Here I am.ย This is me. You canโt change your skin, but you can change your mind-set.” Paddy Cunningham
Two Phat Cows tell us they are happy with who they are in spite of magazines telling us we should be thinner, healthier, more toned etc.
“So, as January comes to an end, it is a time for change indeed; a change of attitude. It is time to ignore what the media is telling us about our imperfections and embrace them. ” Two Phat Cows
Miss Leela Sassafras tells us why she disagrees with the phrase ‘Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels’
“Happiness isnโt size specific. Do what makes you happy, do what makes you you!” Miss Leela Sassafras.
All of these posts are really well written and well worth a read especially if you might be giving yourself a hard time.
On a fitness point of view head over to see how Debbie from Saucepan Kids is getting on. I’ve always been wary of weightlifting, thinking I would come out looking like a body builder – some chance I hear you all cry. It sounds like it could be the way to go though.
Happy reading and if you are going on your own healthy eating, weight loss journey do let me know how you are getting on.
Val, thank you so moooch for the mention!!! ๐๐ฎ๐ฎ we are so honoured and excited that you included us! Our first mention!!
So important to be positive and kinder to ourselves, and embrace our imperfections!

Not doing too well with weight loss so far this year. Starting the Engine 2 Seven-Day Rescue Diet by Rip Esselstyn a week from today. Will keep you posted on how it goes. Love the PHAT acronym for Pretty Hot And Tempting, LOL
Check out the low GI diet Susan – it’s straightforward and not a fad.
