Join us on Jono’s Journey

Well the time has almost arrived for Jono and I to head over to San Francisco for Jono to take part in the Pokemon World Championships.

This has been Jono’s dream for as long as I can remember and thanks to so many wonderful people it’s become a reality. You can read the full back story here.

Tomorrow we leave Sligo by bus and we’ll stay the night at the Metro Hotel Dublin Airport. On Tuesday we fly to America and set up home in the San Francisco Marriott Marquis Hotel.  It’s so exciting, Jono really can’t believe this is happening and we want to thank everyone who made this possible for him by holding fundraising events, making a donation, sharing the story, sending good luck cards and gifts and all the kind comments.

San Francisco’s official visitor website has been a great resource and it’s so handy to get there now that Aer Lingus has a direct flight from Dublin to San Francisco International Airport.
