Today was an exciting day for Sligo. TV3 bought their Ireland AM show to broadcast live from The Glasshouse Hotel. I got to meet Anna Daly who is a lovely lady. It was great to see Sligo showcased on national television.
Sharon Conway and her band Ruby Ridge were just one of the bands there to provide the entertainment. There was also a food demonstration by Myles from Shells Cafe in Strandhill and lots of other interesting Sligo people taking part in the show.
I loved the characters from Tubbercurry Old Fair Day. There were also appearances from Cairde Festival and Branching Out.
Twinfest also got a mention, there were some very cute twins there. All in all it was a great day for Sligo. The show is up on the TV3 website at the moment.
