Eagles Flying, June 2012

Today I went back to re-visit Eagles Flying in Ballymote, Co. Sligo. It’s one of my favourite places to visit. There are some many wonderful birds and animals there and the people who run it are so knowledgable about them all.

It’s hard to know which photos to use for the blog. I always take way too many, the rest of them are here.

It wasn’t the best day so after a short walk around in the rain we went inside for the flying display.

It’s wonderful to see the birds flying right towards you and right over your head! I’m always disappointed with the photos I get though when they are flying. Still it’s always a great excuse for me to have another visit.

I really loved Grizzly the racoon, she has been in the centre since she was young and takes food out of visitors pockets.

The albino hedgehog is gorgeous too…but we were told he can give a nasty bite.

There was also Mandy the lamb, Rosie the pig, two other pigs, guinea pigs, chickens, chinchillas, rabbits and loads more besides. I would recommend this great day out for all ages. We are so lucky to have a place like this in Sligo.
