Happy Easter

Happy Easter, originally uploaded by magnum_lady.

Well this was my attempt at an Easter cake, I’m not too happy with the writing, my Happy is smaller then my Easter….lol.

The icing eggs are from Kates Kitchen, which is a wonderful shop in Sligo that sells all kinds of goodies.

My mum came over for dinner today, so I spent much of the morning cooking. I decided to make yorkshire puddings…..which turned out to be a big mistake as they turned out more like yorkshire pancakes. Mind you they all got eaten so they can’t have been that bad.

The kids got loads of Easter eggs including a Jedward one, if you look on my flickr site you’ll see a photo of it…or rather them because they are ‘twin’ eggs. They didn’t look very Jedward like though so I iced faces and ‘quiffs’ on them.

I hope you all had a very Happy Easter.

  1. Love your Easter cake. Kate’s Kitchen is really a great shop. Never thought of looking for decorations for an Easter cake. I always use the chickens which I keep from one year to the next. Those are a nice change 🙂 Next year …

  2. Am jealous of that cake! I made a choccy cake and iced it with a buttercream icing and cadbury’s mini easter eggs. I must pick up some easter chicks next time I see them and save them for next year.

  3. Happy Easter to you! And what a cute cake – looks great whatever you think yourself:) I used to think yorkshire puddings were tiny wee things until I visited a friend near Leeds and have the real thing – full platefull overbrimming with gravy. Yummy!
