Firstly, Happy New Year to all of you, I hope that 2023 will be kind to you. 2022 was some year for one year, a rollercoaster if ever there was one, but I’m not going to dwell on it.
I don’t have any resolutions for 2023. I would like to dedicate this year to sharing more Leitrim posts, I’ve focused on Sligo for the last couple of years, but that hasn’t been without issues, and I’m not in competition with anyone, so I’m happy to hand the reins over, but of course I live here, so there will still be Sligo posts.
I’d like to write more posts and articles; I enjoy writing but perhaps don’t do enough of it. I will also still be painting. I’ve had a dream of bringing out a book for a long time, in my head it was going to be a photo-based book, but who knows now, I don’t think it will ever happen, but it’s good to dream.
Back in October I went to the Leitrim Local Enterprise NWED event, Breda McCague was one of the keynote speakers. I found her entertaining and motivational, and I have a huge admiration for anyone who can do public speaking, I don’t think I could ever stand up in front of a group of people and do that.
Breda was asking us to think about what our legacy will be. It got me thinking about mine, I’d like to think I was kind, trustworthy and authentic, and I think that’s about it. I don’t want to move mountains, I’m quite happy in the space that I’m in. That’s quite a comfort to me.
Do you have any resolutions? I’d love to hear about them.
