If you are looking for cake shop with the wow factor, I’d really recommend a visit to Hatch 22 by McG Cakes in Ballintogher, Sligo. I called on a dull day and the shop is like a winter wonderland, so inviting and cheerful, and the perfect place to visit for a treat.
The cakes really are something special – they taste as good as they look, and if you read the blog, you’ll know I’m quite a connoisseur when it comes to cakes! They also serve fantastic coffee, gorgeous hot chocolate, and a range of other drinks, including unicorn milk! They have a selection of gifts including candles, water bottles, and more. They also specialise in wedding cakes, and the ones that I’ve seen look beautiful.
Inside this delightful shop, you will find a Christmas postbox where the children can post their letters to the North Pole, and they can pick up a cookie for Santa and even food for the reindeer.
The Christmas collection, which includes hot chocolate boxes, candles, ginger bread, a wide variety of cakes, and more, will be available to order for Christmas from the start December at www.mcgcakes.ie
