From the Hawk’s Well to the Hawk’s Rock

Of Mice and Men

Last night we went along to see ‘Of Mice and Men’ at the Hawk’s Well Theatre, Sligo. It was a very moving performance – and would have been even more moving if people in the audience weren’t laughing! They didn’t seem to get the concept that Lenny was disabled! Even though the actor who played Lenny did an amazing job.

I always love going to the theatre, it’s a great night out, we are lucky to have such a lovely theatre here in Sligo. It actually made a nice change for me to actually watch something, without taking photos.

Hawks Rock

This morning I was on my way to Sligo and I had to pull over to take the photo above. It’s been a long time since I was inspired to stop the car and take a pic. Mainly because the weather has  been so bad. It made it lovely change to see the sun! This is Hawk’s Rock, another of Sligo’s hidden gems. You’ll find it on the Hungry Rock road on the way from Coolaney to Sligo.

Both photos taken with my Huawei P8 mobile phone.
