A bit of a catch up blog I suppose. Due to the dark days and lack of inspiration the blog seems to be limping along of late. I did read a great post this morning with some blogging inspiration so hopefully that will help.
I’ve had a lovely weekend of doing absolutely nothing, except a bit of housework and I’m glad January is over. I always find it a very dull month, after the excitement and sparkling lights of Christmas we have the grey short days of January.
I finally made myself go to the doctor last week about the amount of migraines I was getting. I got there early so I would be seen quickly. Booked in, sat down and listened to some mind numbing children’s TV show. Doctor came and lo and behold someone who came in after me was seen first. I went up to the receptionist who said she didn’t think I wanted to see a doctor! No I just decided spending the morning in the waiting room was a great way to spend a day!
Anyway I eventually got seen and was given some migraine preventative tablets. Great, I thought, these will hopefully work and I’ll be able to function normally again. When I read the leaflet it said they can’t be used by people with Raynaud’s so I can’t take them and am back to square one again.
This week I was contemplating joining a fitness programme. I won’t mention the name of the company but they do seem to get good results. I don’t want to lose a huge amount of weight, at my age I’ve got used to the fact I have an arse the size of a small country. I would like to get rid of my flabby belly and bingo wings though…but not for €195 a month! I want to lose lbs not £s! So I’ll carry on with my swimming and walking and stay awake from cake! I’d love to know how to use the weight machines in the gym, but I’m a bit scared to ask. I would try them myself but I’m worried as I’ll probably damage myself. Last time I did a Pilates class I sprained my neck!
In my next blog I’ll tell you how I’m going to jail….watch this space.
It can be hard to motivate ourselves in the Winter months can’t it! So glad you found my post inspiring and thank you for mentioning it x
Thanks Michelle and you’re welcome x
