Back to reality

Sligo

Well yesterday Lucy went back to work so it was back to the old routine. I’ve really enjoyed the two weeks at home and it’s been very difficult getting up early in the morning these last two days plus my sleep pattern has gone haywire and I’m not sleeping well at all. Hopefully I’ll settle down soon.

I’ve been trying to get active since eating my body weight in chocolate over the Christmas so yesterday I went back to the Sligo Family Resource Centre walk. It’s every Monday at 10.30am from their office on The Mall. Anyone can join in and it’s free. We had a walk around Doorly Park and back to the centre for a cuppa.

I’ve also been to the gym a couple of times, I’ve at a go at the rowing machine and some kind of machine with water in it (no idea what it is but you use your hands to peddle it). I’ve also been on the exercise bike which was grand but I’m wondering if it would be acceptable to bring a cushion in to put on the saddle because it’s really painful on my arse and I’m well padded!

Currently I’m on the look out for yellow accessories for the Little Black Dress Luncheon on Sunday in aid of the North West Simon Community. I’m really looking forward to the event it sounds like it’s going to be a lovely day and a rare chance for me to get out of my jeans and into a dress. As far as the yellow accessories are going I’m failing…so if you see a woman with a banana on her head in Kilronan Castle on Sunday that will probably be me πŸ˜‰ Check out David McConville Orthodontics page to get tickets for this wonderful lunch.

If I’ve been rambling it’s down to the three hours of sleep I’ve had. πŸ˜‰
