North West Network against Fracking are a peaceful campaigning group opposed to Fracking on the Island of Ireland.
They are attempting a world record for our St. Patricks day parade entry of the Sligo parade:
“The most people dressed as WB.Yeats in one place at one time – Don’t frack Yeats Country“

–> You will qualify  as Yeats if you wear

  • side parting for your hair

  • Round glasses

  • White shirt

  • Waist coat

  • Dark trousers

They would love to get as many people involved as they can. If you would like to get involved or want more information Tel: 0863840254

The Sligo Parade is starting at 12 noon (17th March) on the Mail Coach Road.

  1. Sounds like a great event. It’s important to raise awareness, I took part in a few anti-fracking protests here in France and fracking is now forbidden here, so I like to think our protests made a difference!
