Christmas Fair at Castle Dargan

IMG_7414We had a lovely day today, firstly we went to the car boot sale in Collooney which was really good. Great to see so many stalls and people, even Santa was there. After that we headed to Castle Dargan for the Christmas Fair which was in aid of the St. Vincent De Paul Christmas appeal and the Philippines Emergency Appeal.

IMG_7364The hotel looked beautiful and there was a huge raffle (we didn’t win anything though). There were also some lovely stalls with lots of gifts for sale. I really liked the live crib, I was surprised to see lambs this early.

  1. Sorry I missed this Christmas fair. It looks like it was a lovely one. And one of these days I’ve got to get to that car boot sale in Collooney. I keep seeing the sign every time we drive back from Sligo town, and I keep making a mental note of it, but so far, I’ve not yet gone.

The video and singing is lovely, too. Thanks for sharing your day out with us, Val. Always something great to do and see and enjoy in Sligo. 🙂

  2. ps – did you get to the Christmas fair at Strandhill last week? I only found out about it at the last minute, and was too late to book a table there. I love going to and being in Strandhill – hopefully, I’ll be able to be there for next year’s fair.
