Dublin for the day

Ha'penny BridgeNow that Lucy has finished her course for the summer we went to Dublin for the day.  The train journey was a bit odd on the way up with people mooing…you get all sorts!!

Lucy's LoungeWe went to Temple Bar first, it’s such a cool place, almost like being in another country.  You can find all kinds of weird and wonderful things there.  We found Lucy’s Lounge which is a vintage thrift shop, Lucy got a handbag from there, we could have spent hours looking at everything.

Lucy's LoungeAfter that we went for lunch in Ten Thousand which is an all you can eat Chinese buffet.  It’s right near the back of the Jervis centre and is €6.90 so not too bad.

Chatting with the localsOf course me being me I had to mess about a bit with the statues!

A load of bullIt was time for more shopping – if you know me you’ll know I’m not a shopper but Lucy is.  I do like charity shops though and there are about five of them on one street so the only things I bought were from there.

T-shirtI was very tempted by this t-shirt in Temple Bar though.  I’m guessing it’s the Irish equivalent to ‘Keep calm and carry on’.

All in all we had a great day out, it was nice to just go to look around and not be rushing for hospital appointments.

  1. Sounds like you and Lucy had a great day in Dublin town. I, like you, love the Temple Bar area and all of the weird and wonderful things and folks about.
