The Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark is host to one of Europe’s finest showcaves allowing visitors to explore a fascinating, natural underworld of rivers, waterfalls, winding passages and lofty chambers.
I decided to head up there today even though I’ve been a few times before. There is usually a boat that brings visitor into the caves but we’ve had a lot of rain recently and the water level was too high to run the boat today, so the tour was cheaper. This photo was from our last trip.
The caves really are amazing, it’s one of my favourite places to go, it’s got a real wow factor about it.
The tour guide tells you all about the stalactites, stalagmites and the underground cauliflower and streaky bacon….yes really!
I can’t recommend this place enough, it really is fantastic and if the caves weren’t enough to tempt you there is a lovely forest walk.
I loved the Cascade Waterfall, it’s so beautiful. If you are anywhere near Fermanagh do pay a visit to Marble Arch.
I’m sold! Great photos Val. Thank you!!
I live close enough to there. Awesome place
