My Q for the A to Z blogging challenge is Quiet. I had a busy day with my child having a dentist appointment and the other one a doctor’s appointment. I shouldn’t call them children but they are still my children…anyway I digress. I had twenty minutes to myself so I headed to Hazelwood, it’s a lovely place to relax and make the most of the peace and quiet.
Q is also for Quack!! The quiet was quickly shattered by this duck having a row with her admirers!

I know what you mean about the quiet – when you finally get some, it is, in a word, blissful. I don’t have a dog or a camera (well…there is the camera on the mobile, but I mean a real and proper camera, like yours), but when I discover or return to beautiful places like this, I always bring my journal with me. Between the quiet and the natural magic that is the scenery all around me, it’s always so inspiring to write or sketch or paint…or even just enjoy the silence and the beauty.

Swans always seemed serene, until I watched a black swan tear into a man who wandered too closely to her cygnets. Whoa.
