I took the kids to Enniskillen yesterday. It’s in Northern Ireland and is about an hours drive from Sligo. The kids wanted to look around on their own so I got to walk alongside the River Erne and take a few photos.
I was hoping to get into Enniskillen Castle but it was closed so I’ll have to go another time.
Enniskillen is a great town. With a good variety of shops including Asda and Iceland. It’s only 40p an hour to park in the main carparks (it’s free in the Asda one). It’s 1 euro in Sligo or 1.20 in the Wine Street carpark. We had our lunch in the Erneside shopping centre, there is a new restaurant there called Jamm which does a carvery lunch and also sandwiches, wraps, soup, curry etc. The ice cream was fab as well.
