Glencar

After we went to Parkes Castle we carried on to Glencar which is also in County Leitrim (well half in Leitrim and half in Sligo), the waterfall part is in Leitrim though 😉

It is another beautiful scenic area and of all the places we took Andy’s dad to this was his favourite place. It was a lovely sunny day when we went there which made it nicer and there was an ice cream van 🙂 There is a walk way up to the waterfall and opposite is the lake with fields of sheep.

There was a horse and cart taking families around the lake for 20 euro which I thought was a great bargain. I would have loved to go on it but we didn’t get too. I’m tempted to go back again just so I can go on it. There was a little dog that also hopped in the cart with the families for the ride 🙂
