I can’t begin to tell you what a lovely afternoon I had today.
You will all know that I’m on twitter and there are a few of us Sligo folk on there. So one of the men on there decided to arrange a ‘tweetcaffe’ (twitterholics anonymous as I call it), where we could go and meet each other and have a coffee.
I was a bit nervous as it’s one thing talking to people on the internet and another meeting them in real life, but I made myself go and I was looking forward to meeting everyone.
Anyone that knows me will know I talk way too much and I’d given myself a talking to before I went that I would be quiet…..I failed! I had a great time and I met some really nice people. I can’t wait for the next one 😀

I had a tweetup on Saturday – there were 6 of us in all – had it at my house, I have already met 3 of them, two of them for the first time. We had a wonderful afternoon and already planning the next – with promises from other Twitters that they will join us.
Its really great fun.

This is a great idea and a great way to meet people if new to an area or town. If you are sporty you get to meet people through clubs but if not it can be difficult. I am glad it worked out well and it wasn’t full of weirdos!! That would have been a pain! How does Hubby feel about you going to these meets? I can imagine for some partners it could be challenging!! Just curious!
I am hoping to be in strandhill for a few hours at the weekend! Try out the new old camera!!
It all went very well. Hubby was fine about me going out. After almost 21 years of marriage I guess he trusts me 🙂
