Merry Christmas

Well I hope you all had a wonderful day and that you got something nice in your stocking 😉

We had a lovely day. We are still snowed it but I really didn’t like the thought of mum sitting at home on her own so I braved the roads in good old Bertie and made it down there to pick her up.  The journey would normally take me ten minutes but took me an hour today. As I was driving the inside of my windows were freezing up. Anyway I made it there and back in one piece.

We had chicken and ham for dinner. We would have had turkey but it’s still in the shop! I couldn’t get out to get it. I’ve asked them to freeze it for me. I was kind of hoping it would fly to us….but no such luck.

After lunch we went out for a walk. It made such a lovely change this year compared to last year when Jono and Andy were just out of hospital and both of them were laid up in bed.

All the excitement was too much for Rocket and he fell asleep on the chair with his new teddy.

  1. Aw bless! So glad this year was so much better Val, and fantastic to see Andy up and about i was really concerned that he’d be out of it again this year with the latest back problem.

We weren’t supposed to be home this year – w were due to be with my sis in her new home – a massive farmhouse in the middle of nowhere – oooh the excitement was incredible!! All the rest of the family plus extras (minimum 18) were planning on travelling over to her but it failed to materialise as the flu came along and forced a last minute cancellation for us all. So we’re home and I was feeling really fed up and rather concerned that i didn’t have anything special in as we’d planned nothing. However I had the strangest and most lovely Christmas gift of al this year… all the help I could possibly ask for!! it was amazing!! (Never happened before) And utterly fabulous!! We had a gloriously leisurely lunch and opened presents afterwards, right through to 6pm.
So i’m a happy little Pigasus tonight, a fab day with no need at all of an alcoholic blur!!

hope your day has been as enjoyable!! 😀 xxxxx

  2. It looks as though you had a great day. I spent the day in the emergency room with Bill. Some sort of heart issue that scared the begeebies out of us this morning. But, he’s resting well this evening. They are trying to get his blood pressure down so he’s spending the night in the hospital…

  3. All my very best wishes…

I never wish or ask for anything, so if it ever does come, it’s a surprise.

I hope your thaw is on it’s way, some sleety rain today is helping to clear up the snow and ice now across here at last.
