A new day, originally uploaded by magnum_lady.
It’s been a while since I’ve done a blog so I’d better update you all.
Lucy wasn’t feeling very well so I took her to the GP last Friday and she ended up in casualty at Sligo General Hospital.
She had a pain down her right hand side and was just feeling really rough. So they kept her in hospital.
On Saturday Lucy had a scan which showed fluid in her pelvis. They decided on Tuesday to do a laparoscopy. They drained the fluid and think it could have been caused by a ruptured cyst.
Lucy came home yesterday. She’s very tired and sore but it’s lovely to have her home. Let’s hope that’s the last we see of hospitals for a while.
All good wishes to Lucy and the rest of the family.
A great autumnal picture Val, it’s feeling decidedly autumal over here and as a judge of that, her indoors has switched the central heating on!

Thanks š It’s very autumnal here too and I’m still waiting for Summer.
Good to have you back Val. Hope Lucy makes a speedy recovery.
Love the photograph.
Thanks Stella
Val,
That’s mad! I was just thinking I hadn’t seen or heard from you in a few days, and then this. Glad Lucy’s recovering.
Actually I just saw your (yesterday’s) tweet to me and now it makes sense! I’ll let you keep the mayoral chain for SGH, thanks very much!
I fairly sick of hospitals these days!
Glad Lucy is back home and recovering. I’m sure she will be getting lots of TLC. Take care.x
Thanks Michelle š x
poor lucy! how awful… best wishes for a speedy recovery!
i’m catching up on everything since we were away for summer
so it’s good to see some things haven’t changed- great photo!
Thanks Karen, she’s doing OK at the moment.
Poor Lucy!
That’s a tough thing to happen to a teenager.
I’m sure you must have been very worried about her, Val
It’s good to hear though that the situation was taken seriously rather than her just being sent home with a few paracetamol.
Fingers crossed all goes well from now on.
Thanks Steph. I’d like some answers about what caused it though and what if it happens again.
Best wishes to Lucy for a quick recovery.
Glad to see you back.
Thanks Sarah
