Well it’s been a really changable day today. Sunshine and heavy showers. It’s been quite cold as well and my oil has almost run out 😦
In between the showers I got out to take this photo. My camera has an lcd panel that tilts so I can see what sort of photo I’m taking from all different angles.
On Thursday I went to the Cairde auction. Cairde is a family festival that is on in Sligo every Summer. There are always lots of things happening and most of it is free. So the auction was to raise money to fund the festival.
There were several things I wanted to buy: 1000 litres of oil, O2 VIP tickets and a boat trip on Templehouse lake. I got outbid of everything though, but it was a very enjoyable night. Made even better by two of my friends from Sligo Boards turning up.
As some of you might remember I was trying to get healthier. I decided to try the couch to 5k routine. So I started this on Wednesday. Lo and behold Jono has decided to join me. I hope he’s OK to do it after his back surgery. Most people are saying he will know his own body and if he can join in well and good.
We’ve done two days of week one. So far, so good. We’ll be happy enough if we got to run 1k.
We also went swimming yesterday after we picked Lucy up from school. I don’t feel so bad now about eating one of the bakewell cakes I made today 😉
You still got some daffs…ours have all disapeared. Nice blog and lovely pic! xx
Our daffs have been out for about a month, they have done well despite all the wind.
Our daffs haven’t been out that long, still got some in bud on the embankment!
The last big auction we went to, Ian bid on 2 tickets to go to ‘last night of the proms’ affair at the Albert Hall and paid the earth for them. God I was so excited! Came down with severe chicken pox that week though. Bleugh. in the end Ian gave them to a work mate in exchange for a bottle of whiskey. Double bleugh!!
Oh dear Clare, what a shame.
