Today Jono and I walked up Knocknarea mountain.
It was a dry but cloudy day. We’ll have to go up again when it’s clearer so I can get some better photos.
Jono did really well as it’s only four months since he had his surgery. Knocknarea is a lovely place, you can see the whole of Sligo from the top and also Queen Maeves grave is at the top.
I see some people have walked up the cairn itself, but Michael Quirke (the woodcarver) who is a really well known character in Sligo told us it is bad luck to do so. Also he told us to bring a stone up the mountain for Queen Maeve. So Jono did this, it’s meant to be lucky.
Bless your energy!
And there’s obviously no stopping Jono!
I hope that stone brings him great luck.
Thanks Steph š
Jono looks well and has done remarkably climbing up there (indeed have you).
The view looks good even on a cloudy day.
