Andy is still in hospital so we’ve been in to see him twice today. In between that I took Jono to see Santa at Tullyboy Farm.
Jono is really too old, but what with his surgery looming he wanted to go and we are glad we did. He had a lovely day.
As well as meeting Santa and getting a pressie, there was Mary, Joseph and the donkey trying to find a place for the night. A bright star led them to the stable.
Also the elves were in the workshop making toys.
Mrs. Claus was wrapping presents. The children could stir the Christmas pudding and make a wish. There was hot chocolate, mulled fruit juice and mince pies.
One of the elves disappeared and we found him asleep in Santa’s bedroom (Santa wasn’t there!) We all had to shout at him to wake up.
Then we all got a ride around the farm on Farmer Matt’s tractor and ended up in the hay barn searching for snowballs and throwing them at snowmen.
All in all it was a lovely afternoon, well done to all at Tullyboy. There are more photos here.
Sounds like a good place to visit Santa. I love when a bit of imagination is put into these events to make it really worthwhile.
sounds like a great day!
I just found out via The Biopsy Report about your current hospital overload. It must be so difficult for you at the moment, I’m sorry I can’t be of any practical help, please know that there is a family in Galway rooting for you all and sending you every best wish for a healthy happy Christmas and a hospital free new year.
what a lovely photo. One is NEVER too old for Santa!
I second all that AnnB has written above. Add a Limerick family to those rooting for you!
Oh it looks and sounds lovely – how can you be too old for Santa!!?
