Sunday Thoughts

Happy February! It’s St. Brigid’s Day in Ireland, and we have a bank holiday tomorrow in honour of that. It’s also Imbolc, the start of spring and a sign that the days are getting longer.

I have had such a busy week and I’m totally wrecked today. The best way to describe it was that I felt like I was in a paintball game, and all the paint balls hit me at once. It’s my own fault, I try to do too much, one day I will learn – famous last words!

It’s a beautiful day today, I’ve been out for a walk, and saw a traffic jam. Photo above. I really love living in this part of the world. I’m close to the action if I decide I want to do something, but I’m far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Speaking of peace and quiet I went to cuddle a cow yesterday, and it was my idea of heaven! I will tell you all about it in a dedicated blog post soon.

I met up with a couple of friends last week, I hadn’t seen them for months, so it was lovely to catch up again. I’ve been very social over the last week, very unlike me! I’ll be under my rock again soon.

There’s something exciting coming up. I’m delighted to have been invited to speak at the DOT. Rural Digital Bites webinar. I’ll be speaking about ‘Building Rural Tourism Visibility Through Authentic Social Media Storytelling’ it’s on Feb. 10th at 12 noon Irish time. It’s just a half an hour webinar, and I’d love you to join me. You can also hear about the Visit Sligo Ideas Engine on February 5th. You can register here.

I think that’s all my news. I’m writing a Sligo Food News blog post. I always think it’s a good idea, but finding the news is like herding cats! Anyway, I’ll post what I have in the coming days.

Wishing you all a lovely Sunday and thank you for reading.
