Give the Gift of Relaxation from OxyZone Sligo

There is a very special place in Sligo town, it’s a place where you can relax and recharge your batteries. A place with a warm welcome and friendly smiles. That place is OxyZone, Sligo.

I met Anna who runs OxyZone Sligo years ago, when she was struggling with chronic pain after an accident. In the journey back to wellness Anna tried many therapies, Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy was one of them; it helped her recovery so much that she wanted to give the people of Sligo the same opportunity to help aid their recovery and benefit their health. So, Anna opened the first commercial mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Therapy in Sligo.

OxyZone Sligo celebrated their first birthday earlier this year, and I featured Anna on the podcast, you can listen to her inspirational story here:

OxyZone Sligo is a joy to visit, from the calming music to the inspirational quotes, the wonderful lights (which become even more powerful at night!) and of course Anna and Barbara and their magical smiles.

Barbara and Anna make a wonderful team. Barbara is Anna’s biggest supporter and a strong part of the business. Barbara loves helping people, especially children and those with additional needs. She treats everyone with great care and compassion. You are guaranteed to be in safe hands.

Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy helps to increase the amount of oxygen in the bloodstream. This enables it to reach areas of the body that have been deprived of oxygen due to injury or illness. It’s a gentle therapy and offers potential benefits for a variety of conditions, focusing on improving oxygen delivery to tissues and supporting the body’s natural healing processes.

Oxygen therapy is also useful for athletes or sports enthusiasts, it can improve performance and reduces recovery time. It can also reduce inflammation. In fact, there’s a whole list of benefits, and you can read more about them here: https://oxyzonesligo.ie/benefits-oxygen-therapy/

OxyZone Sligo has two chambers, one is suitable for wheelchairs/people with limited mobility. The other one is for people who would like to lie down or sit in the recliner type of chair, this chamber is also suitable for parents who want to bring their child in with them (you can bring a child and just pay for yourself). Anna and Barbara are on hand throughout the treatment to check that the oxygen levels are OK, and she also has a walkie talkie so clients can communicate with her.

Anna tells me that some people fall asleep during their treatment, while others read a book, watch a movie, listen to music, or just relax.

There’s an extensive frequently asked questions guide on the website, so you can find out more: https://oxyzonesligo.ie/oxygen-therapy-questions-and-answers/

Anna is also an Advanced Pranic and Pranic Psychotherapy Healer. This is something that Anna has found very beneficial to her overall health, and something that she wanted to offer her clients. Pranic Healing is a form of energy healing that works on the principle that the human body has an energy field, often called the “aura,” and imbalances or blockages in this energy field can lead to physical and emotional issues. Anna uses specialised techniques to remove negative energies, and to cleanse, energize, and balance the energy body in order to promote overall well-being. Pranic Healing can be beneficial to everyone, and it can be especially beneficial for people with injuries or accidents, it’s thought to accelerate the physical body’s ability to heal itself.

Both Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Pranic Healing are non-invasive, and clients are fully clothed throughout. On your first visit Anna or Barbara will go through a questionnaire with you to make sure that the treatments are suitable for you.
