My Open Library, Tubbercurry, Sligo

Have you ever wanted to visit the library out of hours? Maybe earlier in the morning or later at night? Well now you can! I’m delighted to see that Tubbercurry have relaunched the My Open Library Service, this service enables library users to access the branch during unstaffed hours.

So, how does it work?
You have to contact any library staff member in Tubbercurry, either in person, ph. 071 9111705 or email sligolib@sligococo.ie to get set up to use the service. They will register your membership card and you’ll get a pin code. I called into the library and watched a short presentation about how to use the service, I signed the form and I’m good to go.

You can:
Check out and return books and other library items
Use the computers, including Wi-Fi/Internet
Use the printers and photocopier
Avail of study/reading spaces
Use the meeting room – prebooking is needed for this.

It’s a great idea and I’m sure it will be very useful to people. We’re very lucky to have such a great service in Sligo. Thanks to Sarah for her help on setting my account up.
