Whether you’re a resident of Sligo or just passing through on a touring vacation, Branley’s Yard is a must visit location. You’ll find this haven of creativity just outside Sligo town, in Rathcormac on the N15. Be sure to put it on your list of places to visit.

I was there recently and went on the new nature walk, it’s a really peaceful walk that starts at the car park and you can walk towards Drumcliff Bay.

The views are beautiful and you’ll get to see sheep and lambs along the way and maybe if you are lucky you might see rabbits too.

There are wild flowers along the path and you’ll see and hear birds in the hedgerows.

Branley’s Yard is also home Rathcormac Market, which takes place every Saturday 10am – 3pm and the Sligo Car Boot sale – which is on every Sunday from 10am – 2pm.

You can also find a number of businesses at the yard, including artists, makers, jewellers, and a variety of shops. It’s a fantastic place to visit and find the perfect piece to brighten your home, or a gift for a friend. You can meet the artists and perhaps even see them at work, some of them offer classes, so you can learn a new skill.

Vintage Lane Café is a must visit for delicious cakes, breakfast or lunch, and a coffee.
So next time you are driving along the N15, pull in and stretch your legs and explore this lovely part of Sligo.
Another item for our to do list, thank you Val.
