It’s been a while since I’ve written a generic blog post to tell you what I’ve been up to. I have about 20 blog posts waiting to be written and I never seem to do them, maybe one day I’ll get to them. We’ve had some lovely days weatherwise, it’s great because it was so cold last week I had to buy some home heating oil – and it’s well over double in price as it was this time last year.

Jono turned 29 on Saturday, thanks to everyone on social media who wished him a Happy Birthday. It was a quiet enough day, just spent at home. I popped into town to get him a few treats, as I was there I sat by the river with my iced mocha (notions I hear you say!) I almost lost it to a pigeon. I also got some Nutella filled donuts – I don’t usually like donuts but these are by Le Fournil and they are lovely.

Myself and himself went out to dinner last week, we were invited by a PR company to visit the Radisson Blu Hotel in Sligo. The food was amazing – and I’ll tell you about that in another blog post. It’s so long since we’ve been out and it was a real treat.
I have finally discovered Stranger Things on Netflix. I did try to watch it before but I never got into it, so I went back to it and I’m now on Season 2 and really enjoying it. It’s quite scary in places and I end up having nightmares, it’s good though. Although I was annoying Lucy with daft questions like ‘Why does Nancy dress like her bed cover.’
I feel like I’ve reached peak adulthood as I’ve signed up for a Tesco Clubcard – whoop! I used one of those scaning machine yokes the other day, you scan your shopping as you put it in the trolley, I thought it’d save time as there’s usually only one till open in Tesco. It didn’t save any time as when I got to the check out my shopping was scanned to make sure I wasn’t stealing anything – so I’m not sure if I’ll use the thing again or just stick to the till.
This week is Andy’s birthday and also our 32nd wedding anniversary, note to anyone planning a wedding, don’t get married on a birthday, the anniversary is always forgotten. We don’t have anything planned but we’ll see what happens on the day. It’s quite nice not having anything planned, since Covid I find it quite worrying to think about going anywhere, the build up can be quite stressful, it’s relaxing to just go with the flow.
Well that’s all my news for now, I hope you are all keeping well, keep an eye on the blog for all the posts I have to write.
