Sligo’s Newest Cafe Opens – Dock 84

There’s great news in Sligo as Dock 84 opened their doors, they are located in the old Lyons Mill in Finisklin, at the other side of the Lidl carpark. You can read more about the restoration of the mill here.

I was meeting a friend today so I suggested we try it out and I was very impressed. There’s a lovely outdoor area, similar to a conservatory, and when we got there it was quiet enough and we had a choice of eating there or inside. We went for inside, it’s fabulous! With exposed stone work, fancy floor tiles, and quirky lighting. I love the booths too.

There’s an extensive menu, I’ve added the weekend brunch menu (excuse the awful photo), which is available from 11am until 4pm. There’s also a range of starters, main courses, desserts and drinks. The main courses include bubble and squeak, burger, falafel wrap, huevos rancheros, fish pie, and more.

I went for the pancakes with caramelised banana and berries, they were lovely, the coffee was great too, and the service was excellent. I’ll be back again.
