Comfortably Numb

If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook you’ll have seen my very fetching blue gown today. I had an MRI scan, it’s my first time to have one and it was grand. Very loud and a bit claustrophobic but I kept my eyes shut and I had headphones on with the radio on.

The reason I had the scan is that I’ve had a numb face for a few months. It’s only on one side, around my eye and sometimes it’s worse than others. I didn’t think much about it until my hand started to go numb, just a few fingers and on the opposite side to the face. Anyway I went to the GP and I got referred to the hospital, they were great, very thorough and I had bloods taken and a CT scan. They showed I’m a bit low in folate but nothing major.

So today was the MRI scan, I’m glad I had it done because the side of my mouth has been drooling a bit – very random. I don’t know if anything will show on the scan but it’s best to get it checked just in case. At least I’m not in pain or anything. I’ll let you know if I hear anything from the scan.
