Tiptoe through the Bluebells

Bluebells Forest

I love Spring, the awakening of new growth, the longer days, the light making the leaves look luminous.

This year there seems to be an abundance of bluebells. I’m blessed to work quite near the most beautiful forest in Roscommon. It’s been such a pleasure to stop there and just wander for a while.

Forest walk

I’ve been accompanied by the birds singing, the bees buzzing and the gentle patter of raindrops. A little bit of peace in a sometimes hectic world.

  1. Oh how I loved that video! A deep breath, a smile of delight, awe at the abundance of bluebells, the twittering of happy birds, appreciation for the kelly green, and hope that soon we’ll see some of that new growth on the poplars, willows and maples around here. Our grass is greening but the leaves are wisely staying hidden (we had snow flurries yesterday so they must know what they’re doing). -Kate
