I had a bit of free time this afternoon. It feels like it’s been months since I’ve had any time to just mooch around so it was lovely.
First stop was to the Hamilton Gallery to have a look at the ‘Invited Artists Exhibition’. It’s a really lovely exhibition, there are some very talented artists out there. I also love the way it’s been curated. If you get a chance do call in and see it. It runs until January 27th.
My next stop was to The Model to see the new Cléa van der Grijn exhibition – Reconstructing Memory. This is a very interesting exhibition, visually stunning. I have to admit though I get a bit freaked out walking through dark rooms on my own – so I kind of legged it through there. Hopefully next time someone else will be around and I won’t imagine an axe murderer jumping out at me.
I wanted to check out The Blind Tiger, I saw my friend Fiona posting about it so had to go for a nosey. It’s a coffee bar by day and a cocktail bar by night. A really lovely place, as it’s still ‘sort of’ Christmas I tried the Mint Aero Hot Chocolate. It was amazing! I have to admit I licked the mug!
After a walk around the town I thought I’d better have lunch so it was off to Osta. They had a fab sweet potato and cashew nut curry on as a special so that was very enjoyable.
It was a lovely way to spend the last Thursday of 2016 🙂
