You might be wondering what’s on in Sligo this weekend. Here are a few ideas:
There’s a Christmas Craft and Tree Festival in Drumcliffe Parish Church running until Sunday 11th. The festival will comprise of approximately 30 craft stalls located in a marquee, while in Drumcliffe Church over 45 themed Christmas trees which will have been carefully prepared by local community groups and individuals will be on display.
Rathcormac Market is on Saturday from 10am – 3pm.
It’s Panto time! Oh no it isn’t, oh yes it is:
After a break of three years the Corran Players in Ballymote are back. This years Pantomime is “Puss in Boots”. Taking place December 9th, 10th and 11th at 8pm with the matinee show at 2.30pm on the 11th, in The Art Deco theatre, Ballymote.
Calry Drama present CINDERs and her fELLA – last time I checked there were just a few tickets left for the Saturday afternoon matinee. So don’t miss out.
Coolera’s Panto is on at the Hawk’s Well Theatre but as far as I know this is sold out. Occasionally someone might not be able to make it so worth checking.

Beltra Country Market have a Christmas Fair on December 10th from 10am – 2pm – crafts for the kids, Christmas Carols, food from Sligo Global Kitchen and much more.
The Sligo Cathedral Christmas Bazaar is on in the Gillooly Hall on Saturday 10th December from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Enniscrone – the home of the ‘Big Yoke’ have their Christmas Lights switch on after mass on Saturday 10th December at 8.45pm outside the Church on Main Street, by a Special Guest.
Sligo on Ice. ) An indoor ice rink with real ice and great fun for all. This is open until January 29th and you can book online here.
If you want to work off the mince pies before you’ve even eaten them check out the Sligo Santa Dash. This is a 5k run, jog or walk on December 10th, hosted by Sligo Athletics Club.
On Sunday the 11th of December, the Innisfree Wheelers host their Santa Cycle starting from the Knocknarea Arena at the IT Sligo at 11am. Even if you don’t fancy taking to your bike it’s worth going along to see all the cycling Santas.
The Benwiskin Centre Hostel have a Christmas Craft Fair 2-5pm on Sunday the 11th of December.
On Sunday the 11th. of December at 8pm Thomas Connolly Sligo have a live performance of Sherlock Holmes – ‘A Scandal in Bohemia’, a radio drama. Brought to you by the Dark Leaves Theatre Company.
