Canning’s is a Spar with a difference. Usually when you think of a Spar you tend to think of a supermarket that sometimes has a deli. Canning’s is not just a supermarket and deli. It also has a petrol station, late night pharmacy, garden centre, pet shop, cafe, gift shop and florist all under one roof! Convenience at it’s finest and this doesn’t even include the friendly staff and the most amazing caramel slices (here I go again with the cake theme!)
The day I paid a visit Cara, the florist, was in the middle of making the most amazing wedding bouquets and arrangement for the church for a very lucky couple.
The gift shop is just being stocked with Christmas goodies, there are some lovely Christmas decorations in stock.
There is also a large range of Yankee candles in all different shapes and sizes.
I love the cafe, the staff are very welcoming – the coffee is great and you can have a relax and a read of the papers. I was there for a couple of hours when I washed our duvet – because they even have industrial sized washing machines and a drier onsite! They have a dog wash too! What haven’t they thought of??
