Not only is the Fleadh taking place in Sligo this week the Old Fair Day Festival in Tubbercurry is also well underway. I went along to the opening night and was blown away by the entertainment on offer and it was all free! Not only that there is a great community spirit in the town and the people are very friendly and welcoming.
The big fair day takes place tomorrow Wednesday the 13th August where the streets will come alive with music. There will also be a chance to see traditional crafts and sample a bit of Ireland as it used to be. You never know what you’d see and once again it’s free.
