The Second Coming

We took our seats, the lights went down and we saw figures moving across the stage. The lights came up and we saw the dancers.

The voice of  Yeats filled the air. “Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world” – The Second Coming, W. B. Yeats.

The music began and the dancers flitted across the stage inviting us to witness a spectacular show that had the hairs standing up on the back of my neck.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a show like it. It’s hard to compare it to anything because it’s so unique – I suppose you could think of it as Riverdance meets the circus. Fidget Feet are aerial dancers and they have joined with the Hawk’s Well Theatre to produce this show.

The dancers made it all look so effortless as one minute they are on the ground and the next they are up in mid-air or walking up the walls. There is also the most beautiful singing, the girl has the voice of an angel.
