Jono and I headed along to Boyle this morning to have another look at the model railway (and to see Santa!!) The railway has really come on well since we were there in the Summer. A big well done to all involved, it’s looking great.
Derrick from the Boyle Men’s Shed was telling Jono all about the trains and the layout (that’s not Jono in the photo by the way, that’s a little lad who was so impressed with it all his mum couldn’t get him to move, bless him).
Thomas the tank engine is even in Boyle! Who’d have thought it.
It’s great value as well. €5 per child and they get a visit to Santa and a present. There is also a quiz for the children to do and they might win a prize.
The Boyle Model Railway is open every weekend before Christmas from 11am-5pm. It’s only €5 per child and includes a gift from Santa. You can find them on Facebook.
The rest of my photos are here.
Thank you for your lovely words and photos Val.
Just to say the Model Railway is open this weekend, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd from 11am to 5pm.
The cost is €5 per child to visit Santa and includes a gift!
A brilliant price and a great day out.
Looks like a magical atmosphere! I forgot how much kids just love trains!
It was lovely 🙂
