Sligo St. Patrick’s Day Parade, 2013

Farmer Lucy and LambieI had a brilliant day today. I took part in the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Sligo thanks to Lucy (above) and John who run Farmyard in your Schoolyard.Ā

IMG_9622 DSCF5834 DSCF5957It was great fun actually taking part in the parade rather than just watching it and even better I was carrying the cutest little lamb šŸ™‚

In the greenWhat I saw of the parade was very good. Some very talented people out there who made great floats and danced. I still don’t agree with all the cars and buses that take part. I had to laugh when one of the brand new cars broke down and had to be pushed out of the parade šŸ˜‰ It might put them off taking part next year. The rest of my photos are here.

  1. Val, you surprised me on Sunday, I wasn’t expecting to see you until you came along with the lamb. S/he was so cute, my kids loved it. I was trying to take a picture of Lucy walking the sheep, which I thought was cute too. It was quite a good parade I thought, we enjoyed it anyway. We went to Ballymote parade afterwards, and enjoyed that too.

    1. I also meant to say, apart from yourself of course, I thought the best group was the Sligo-Fillipino group. They were so colourful and cheerful, and really seemed to be enjoying themselves.
