I had a brilliant day today. I took part in the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Sligo thanks to Lucy (above) and John who run Farmyard in your Schoolyard.Ā
It was great fun actually taking part in the parade rather than just watching it and even better I was carrying the cutest little lamb š
What I saw of the parade was very good. Some very talented people out there who made great floats and danced. I still don’t agree with all the cars and buses that take part. I had to laugh when one of the brand new cars broke down and had to be pushed out of the parade š It might put them off taking part next year. The rest of my photos are here.
Val, you surprised me on Sunday, I wasn’t expecting to see you until you came along with the lamb. S/he was so cute, my kids loved it. I was trying to take a picture of Lucy walking the sheep, which I thought was cute too. It was quite a good parade I thought, we enjoyed it anyway. We went to Ballymote parade afterwards, and enjoyed that too.
I also meant to say, apart from yourself of course, I thought the best group was the Sligo-Fillipino group. They were so colourful and cheerful, and really seemed to be enjoying themselves.
I thought they were great. Certainly added some life into the parade.
I’ve always wanted to take part in the parade so John and Lucy asked me to tag along with them, it was great š
